Establishment of the founder's personal commercial registry, and the commencement of business in the energy sector.

February 5, 2002

Founding of ELACO

ELACO (Electrical Agencies Company) established in Damascus by the future founders of Rabbat Electric to participate in Syrian local tenders.

November 18, 2002

SGM Partnership

Appointed as authorized commercial agents for SGM Schaltgerätewerk Bad-Muskau.

January 9, 2003

ELACO–ALSTOM Partnership

Co-operation agreement between ELACO and ALSTOM Hungaria for promoting the sale of open-air disconnector switches in Syria.

July 6, 2003

Founding of UCEP

Establishment of UCEP (United Company for Electrical Projects) in Beirut to participate in international tenders in Syria, the MENA region, and Africa.

November 9, 2003

Founding of Rabbat Electric LLC

Establishment of Rabbat-Electric LLC in Damascus, Syria. Originally founded to manufacture electrical components for supplying UCEP and ELACO, and later expanded by absorbing ELACO to participate in the local tenders market in Syria.

June 9, 2006

Under-License Manufacturing Agreement with IVEP

Rabbat Electric LLC enters into a 20-year under-license manufacturing agreement with IVEP for the production of outdoor disconnector switches (FLE and LEV types).

June 2, 2007

ELACO–AREVA VAR Agreement in Syria

VAR (Value Added Reseller) agreement established between ELACO and AREVA in Syria for the implementation of 12 turnkey substations for the client PEDEEE.

ELACO–AREVA Representation Agreement

Representative and distribution agreement established between ELACO and AREVA for the Syrian market.

EPC Turnkey Contracting

We deliver EPC turnkey electrical contracting for substations and power infrastructure — covering engineering and design, procurement, installation, civil works, and commissioning. Our turnkey model provides a single point of accountability to support on-time, cost-effective project delivery.

Over the past 25 years, we have completed more than 40 turnkey projects across high-voltage networks up to 400 kV and low-voltage distribution systems. Our experience includes substations from 10 MVA distribution class up to more than 1000 MVA bulk supply substations.

Manufacturing

ISO Certified LV/MV/HV

Our manufacturing division produces custom electrical panels, switchgear assemblies, and control systems built to international specifications. From medium-voltage switchgear to motor control centers, every product is engineered for reliability and compliance.

Our facility is equipped with modern assembly lines, testing bays, and quality control processes certified to ISO standards. We manufacture for both internal project use and third-party clients across the region.

Rehabilitation

Grid Restoration Modernization

We specialize in the restoration and modernization of existing electrical infrastructure. Our rehabilitation services cover aging substations, damaged power networks, and outdated control systems — upgrading them to current international standards.

Our team conducts thorough condition assessments, develops targeted restoration plans, and executes upgrades with minimal service disruption. We have successfully rehabilitated critical power infrastructure across the region.

Through our established partnerships with GE, AREVA, and ALSTOM, we provide comprehensive procurement services for high-quality electrical equipment. From transformers and circuit breakers to protection relays and SCADA systems, we source and deliver world-class components.

Our procurement team manages the full supply chain — from technical specification and vendor selection to logistics, customs clearance, and on-site delivery — ensuring equipment arrives on schedule and meets project requirements.

Testing & Commissioning

FAT SAT Commissioning

Our testing and commissioning services ensure that all electrical installations meet international safety and performance standards before energization. We perform comprehensive testing of protection relays, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.

From factory acceptance testing (FAT) to site acceptance testing (SAT) and final commissioning, our certified engineers follow rigorous protocols to verify system integrity, functional performance, and compliance with design specifications.
